Privacy policy
What information Qwatar collects, why, and who can see it.
Last updated: October 2026
What we collect
Your account email and name, the profile details you add (display name, phone, WhatsApp number, city), the listings you publish, the listings you save, and any reports you file.
What is public
Approved listings are public, including the title, photos, price, city and locality, and the contact number you choose to put on the listing. Do not put anything in a listing you are not happy to share publicly.
What stays private
Your saved listings, your profile details and the reports you file are visible only to you. Moderation records are visible only to Qwatar administrators. Listings that are pending, rejected, switched off or suspended are never shown to the public.
Why we use it
To run the marketplace: showing listings, letting renters contact owners, moderating content, preventing abuse and answering your support requests.
Signing in
You can sign in with an email and password, or with Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Apple. Using one of those providers shares your name and email address with us so we can create your account; your password stays with that provider.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. Apart from what an approved listing shows publicly, your details are visible only to you and to Qwatar administrators — plus the service providers that host the marketplace and store its files on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Your profile and listings stay while your account is active. When you delete a listing or your profile details we take them off the marketplace; moderation and report records are kept for a limited period so repeat abuse can be identified.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, delete a listing or delete your profile details at any time. For data requests, write to hello@qwatar.in.
